Welcome to our new blog! The Center for Weight Management & Wellness is pleased to present the addition of a blog to our web site. This forum will give the staff of the center the opportunity to offer updates and information that we know will be of interest to our patients and visitors to our site alike. We'll provide helpful tips, nutritional information, the latest from the medical community as it relates to weight-loss and, perhaps most importantly, encouragement and feedback.

You'll see posts here from the physicians at the center, as well as our chef and nutritional expert Debbie Gaspardi. We welcome your feedback as well. Just use the link at the left side of the page to become a registered user of the site. Once you do, you'll be able to post comments and ask questions about any of our posts. Of course, you don't need to register to take advantage of the blog. Everyone is welcome to view the content of our site at any time.

I'm struggling...

I wish we could have the ability to interact with other patients for more support. Am I the only one having a hard time adapting this program into my lifestyle? I enjoy the staff and going to the office however, in addition to that, I wish there was a group session or a live conference call on a regular basis. Perhaps a members website.

I hear you.....

I just started the program on 21 Apr & wasn't able to get the appetite suppressant & I am on Day 3 & really, REALLY struggling. I've been good thus far but being able to have a little support through something like a website would be GREAT.

Pasta Substitute

You list a pasta substitute made with tofu as an acceptable menu item. What is this and where can i purchase it? Thank you.

Shirataki Noodles

I was able to locate them at Whole Foods in Portland. Refrigeration section near the onions and potatoes. Tomorrow (Thursday) check out our website for ideas on cooking this gems.
